This chalet is the closest to the ski lift in this resort - flat 150m walk away - and that lift takes you up to Plan Peisey, traditionally a farming village maintaining it's cheese production to this day. The lift is a stand-up 'lobster pot' type, so no worries for novice skiers needing to get skis on!   Guests can hire equipment from the shop at the top of the lift and use the free lockers there - no need for any grumpy trudging in ski boots!

Clusters of characterful old stone properties make this a popular village to visit these days and a pleasant change from the modern resorts in France! The beautiful Chalet Barthelemy is well located to access the great links to the Peisey / Vallandry ski area, part of the Les Arcs Domain and Paradiski.

The chalet has 8 bedrooms (one of these bedrooms being the whole of the top floor which works well as a family suite) and 8 bathrooms, Large dining room is on the ground floor. Internal stairs lead from the dining room to the lounge and upstairs bedrooms. The lounge has a nice open fire with French doors leading out to a large sunny terrace.

The sauna is located on the ground floor with relaxing room.

Set in an ideal location, with the first lift out of the village just a couple of minutes away. The chalet provides easy access for ski school, slopes and lifts. This chalet has been a popular choice for clients hence it is the operator's 17th season!

The Les Arcs ski area is now linked to La Plagne making ‘Paradiski’ – now one of the biggest skiing areas in the French Alps. Using only 1 lift, this revolutionary scheme has 2 double decker cars which travel across the valley in just 4 minutes taking up to 200 people in each car at a time, from one fantastic resort to another!

What's Included

All Catered chalets:
Linen and Towels are supplied
Local French Tax (we pay this for in in resort)
Accommodation for 7 days no surcharges for balconies or fire wood
Breakfast, afternoon tea, Three course (Four in Chalet Chamois) evening meal with wine for 6 days. Special diets catered for. (Day Off - Please Note that breakfast is left out but does not include eggs as cooking is not permitted in the chalet due to the insurance - except Chalet Nancroix which is generally rented on a self catered basis)

Cuisine

So many of the operator's clients return each year for the food they produce. They aim to serve good wholesome food and keeping it balanced and memorable.  They keep up to date with all the new trends in the cooking world and also people’s diets. They can cater for all diets from Veggies to Vegans and from Gluten Free to No Dairy - please advise in advance.

If there is a birthday in the group then they are happy to make the cake at no extra charge. They also like to feed the children earlier if possible so the adults can enjoy their meal. Please ask if you have particular questions.
