PRIVATE LESSONS — Skiing, Snowboarding or Telemarking, All Levels

Create your own agenda with a private lesson, and receive specialized attention for fast, fun results. With over 1,300 best-in the- business pros (instructors) across four mountains, we have coaches for every age and ability level. From beginning turns to hitting the steeps and deeps or jibbing in the park & pipe, we teach it all, and we guarantee it! You and up to four friends or family members (no additional charge) will enjoy privileges that include custom-tailored teaching, priority lift access, mountain guiding, and overnight ski/snowboard storage. Offered every day at every mountain, lessons are available starting from 9 a.m. or by special arrangement. Lessons with pros fluent in many different languages are also offered, subject to Availability.

SKIING & SNOWBOARDING FOR ADULTS — Group Lessons/Clinics

Beginner’s MagicTM

Levels 1-3 Offered daily at Snowmass and Buttermilk, 10:00am-3:00pm, includes lift ticket, lesson and equipment rental voucher Specifically designed to meet the needs of first-time through beginner (levels 1-3) skiers and snowboarders, Beginner’s Magic utilizes a unique teaching method that assures peak performance while building confidence and comfort in a new sport and the mountain environment. Your progress will astonish you… it’s guaranteed.

Adult Group Lesson

Levels 4-9 Offered Daily at Snowmass, Aspen Mountain, Buttermilk and Aspen Highlands, 10:00am- 3:00pm

In groups of similarly skilled skiers or riders, you get tons of individual attention to polish your turns, gain confidence in the bumps and terrain parks or master the steeps and deeps.

Women’s Edge

Levels 4-9 Offered at Snowmass, Monday — Thursday, 10:00am-3:00pm, January through March

Stir the passion in your skiing with this unique multi-day program designed especially for women and taught by PSIA-certified female Pros. Advance your skills, develop lasting relationships and simply have a blast.

SKIING & SNOWBOARDING FOR CHILDREN & TEENS — Group Lessons

*NOTE: Helmets are REQUIRED for children ages 12 and under participating in a Ski & Snowboard Schools of Aspen/Snowmass lesson and recommended for all participants

Kids’ Group Lesson

All Levels, Skiing; ages 7-12; Snowboarding; ages 5-12 offered Daily at Snowmass, Buttermilk and Aspen Highlands (skiing only, levels 5-9) from 9:30am-3:15pm

Kids make friends and learn to ski and ride in a fun, supportive environment. A day includes exploring the coolest trails, visiting dedicated kid’s adventure zones, and building skills in the park & pipe. Highlights of the week include Race Day and Park & Pipe Day.

Classes are divided according to age and ability and include a supervised lunch.

Teens’ Group Lesson

All Levels, ages 13-17 Offered Daily at Snowmass and during holiday break weeks at Buttermilk from 9:30am-3:15pm

Our Teens’ “Too Cool for School” program is taught by our most qualified coaches. Teens explore the mountain, checking out all of the terrain, from the beginner areas and the easy groomers to the park & pipe and the bumps and steeps. Groups are formed by skill level and goals.

Teen Steep Camps

Levels 8-9, Skiing only, ages 13-17 Offered at Snowmass and Aspen Highlands. 4-day program: Monday — Thursday, 9:30 a.m.-3:15 p.m. on select weeks throughout the season

These four-day free-skiing camps are for advanced and expert skiers and are designed to teach kids and teens how to ski North America’s toughest black and double-black diamond terrain in a fun, dynamic environment. Small groups stay together with the same pro for the week and are joined by some of the top free skiing competitors.

CHILDREN’S PROGRAMS FOR AGES 6 & UNDER

A few important insights:

Delighted children are key to an amazing vacation. Our highly-rated programs are designed to allow children to fall in love with skiing and snowboarding. Classes are structured to support a dynamic, interactive learning experience with tons of Personal attention. Please be aware class ratios may be higher during our busiest times.

To avoid long lines and save money on lessons and equipment with early-purchase discounts, we strongly recommend reservations and prepayment.

Equipment.

HELMETS ARE REQUIRED FOR CHILDREN AGES 12 AND UNDER.

To save time on lesson day, we encourage pick-up of rental equipment the afternoon before. We are unable to guarantee at what point late arrivals on lesson day will be able to join a class.

SNOW CUBS

8 weeks to 4 years (DAYCARE) at Snowmass Our Colorado state-licensed day-care, located in the Treehouse Kids’ Adventure Centre, caters to infants and toddlers and provides a licensed registered nurse on staff. Children spend time playing games on and off the snow under supervision of our kids’ specialists and are grouped by age with dedicated theme rooms for each group. Lunch is included. Please have children at the program by 9:30am.

SPACE IS LIMITED. ADVANCE RESERVATIONS AND PREPAYMENT ARE REQUIRED. HELMETS ARE REQUIRED FOR CHILDREN AGES 12 AND UNDER.

CUBS ON SKIS

2 ½ to 4 years (Snowmass and Buttermilk), ski only

Introduce your child to the fun of skiing with this all-inclusive package. Children enrolled in Cubs on Skis will spend time on snow with our pre-school specific pros in their own learning area complete with Magic Carpets. The rest of the day will be Spent enjoying hands-on activities at the Treehouse Kids’ Adventure Centre at Snowmass or the Panda House at Buttermilk.

Lesson, equipment, lunch and daycare are included. ADVANCE RESERVATIONS AND PREPAYMENT ARE REQUIRED.

BIG BURN BEARS

Snowmass — Ages 3 to 4, ski only

At Big Burn Bears, pre-school children learn to ski under the guidance of specially trained pros. Their own beginner area, obstacle courses, Magic Carpets and immediate access to the rest of the mountain make skiing a fun experience. Plus, the Treehouse includes their very own Bear Den, a themed indoor activity centre complete with a puppet theatre and a great place for lunch. Bears must be potty trained.

POWDER PANDAS

Buttermilk — Ages 3-4, ski only

Pandas enjoy a world of their own near the base of Buttermilk with the perfect teaching hill all to themselves. This beloved program offers children’s groups a walk out the door to their very own Magic Carpet area. More advanced Pandas ride the Unforgettable skitch towed by a snowmobile to their lesson area and, when ready, ski the mountain top to bottom. Lunch is included. The Powder Pandas program is convenient for parents skiing at Aspen Mountain or Aspen Highlands. Powder Pandas must be potty trained.

HELMETS ARE REQUIRED FOR CHILDREN AGES 12 AND UNDER.

Lesson, lift ticket, lunch/snacks, and equipment rental included.

Drop-off Times

Full Day: Drop off 9 to 9:15 a.m.; pick up 3 to 3:15 p.m. (complimentary childcare available upon request 8:30 to 9 a.m. and 3:15 to 4 p.m.)

Half Day, AM: Drop off 9 to 9:15 a.m.; pick up by 12:30 p.m.

Half Day, PM (first-time skiers ONLY): Drop off 12 to 12:30 p.m.; pick up 3 to 3:15 p.m. (complimentary childcare available upon request until 4 p.m.)

GRIZZLIES

Snowmass & Buttermilk — Ages 5–6, ski and snowboard

The Grizzlies spend their days on the mountain, enjoying their own beginner area and direct lift access for tearing up the slopes. Special events include the Winter Wild Things Native Animal Exploration program and race days. The Grizzlies program at Buttermilk is convenient for parents skiing at Aspen Mountain or Aspen Highlands. Both the full-day and half day lesson options are available at Snowmass and Buttermilk.

GRIZZLIES AT HIGHLANDS

Ages 5–6, Levels 5 and up, ski only

The fun kids’ trail and great terrain of Aspen Highlands, combined with very talented kids’ pros, provide your child the most exciting ski experience in the valley. A level 5 skier must be able to do a hockey stop both ways, handle using poles, ski blue Terrain comfortably, and make parallel turns. Only the full-day lesson option is available at Highlands. Lesson, lift ticket and lunch included; equipment not included but available for rent with advance reservation.

Drop-off Time: 9 to 9:15 a.m.; pick up 3 to 3:15 p.m. (complimentary childcare available upon request 3:15 to 4 p.m.)

Half Day, PM (first time skiers only): Drop off 12 to 12:30

Aspen Highlands Full Day: Drop off 9 to 9:15; on snow 9:30 am to 3 pm; pick up by 3:15 pm.
